(1) A prosecution for
an offence against any provision of this Act or regulations made thereunder
may be instituted in the name of the Valuer-General by any officer employed in
the administration of this Act and authorised to institute prosecutions on
behalf of the Valuer-General, and any prosecution instituted in the name of
the Valuer-General shall, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, be
deemed to have been instituted by his authority.
(2) An officer
referred to in subsection (1) may appear on behalf of the Valuer-General in
any proceedings for an offence against any provision of this Act or
regulations made thereunder.
