(1) A worker may
cease, or refuse to carry out, work if the worker has a reasonable concern
that to carry out the work would expose —
(a) the
worker to a serious risk to their health or safety emanating from an immediate
or imminent exposure to a hazard; or
(b) any
other person to a serious risk to their health or safety emanating from an
immediate or imminent exposure to a hazard.
(2) A police officer
must not cease, or refuse to carry out, work under this section if the
ceasing, or refusal to carry out, work would affect adversely, or could
reasonably be expected to affect adversely, a covert operation or a dangerous
operation.
