(1) Unless otherwise
specified in the Act or these regulations and subject to
subregulation (2), a person must not use more than 2 rods, reels and
lines or single lines held in the hand at any one time when fishing.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$2 000.
(2)
Subregulation (1) does not apply to —
(a) the
holder of a commercial fishing licence; or
(b) a
person fishing from a boat.
(3) A person, other
than the holder of a commercial fishing licence, must not fish for demersal
finfish in the West Coast Region using a line with more than 1 bait or
lure attached.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$2 000.
(4) A person, other
than the holder of a commercial fishing licence, must not fish for fish other
than demersal finfish in the West Coast Region using a line with more than
3 baits or lures attached.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$2 000.
(5) A person, other
than the holder of a commercial fishing licence, must not fish in
WA waters other than the West Coast Region using a line with more than
3 baits or lures attached.
Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of
$2 000.
