(1) A person must
not set a fishing net in any waters of the West Coast Region other than in the
waters of —
(a) the
Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary; or
(b) the
Leschenault Estuary; or
(c) the
Hardy Inlet.
(2) A person who
fishes using a set fishing net in the West Coast Region must —
(a)
attend that net; and
(b)
remove the net from the water and clear it of fish at intervals of not more
than one hour; and
(c) not
set the net —
(i)
in the waters referred to in
subregulation (1)(a) — except within the period beginning at
4.30 p.m. and ending at midnight on any Wednesday; and
(ii)
in the waters referred to in subregulation (1)(b) or
(c) — within the period beginning 1½ hours after sunrise
and ending 1½ hours before sunset on any one day.
Penalty: $2 000.
