A person who
holds a commercial fishing licence must not use, or leave unattended, in the
waters of a fishery listed in the Table to this regulation —
(a) any
surface fishing net, unless the net has end floats at least 150 mm in diameter
clearly marked with the licensed fishing boat number of any boat used in
connection with the net; or
(b) any
fishing net, unless the net has —
(i)
every tenth lead weight marked clearly with lettering at
least 4 mm high showing the licensed fishing boat number referred to in
paragraph (a); or
(ii)
every tenth net float marked clearly with lettering at
least 10 mm high showing the licensed fishing boat number referred to in
paragraph (a).
Penalty: $2 000.
