(1) Except as provided
by subregulation (3), the master or person in charge of a vessel from
which a person is diving must, at all times during which the vessel is being
so used, cause to be exhibited on the vessel so as to be clearly visible to
all approaching vessels at all times, the International Code
Flag “A” (a swallowed tailed flag having 2 vertical halves;
the inner being white and the outer blue, indicating “diver
below”).
(2) The International
Code Flag “A” referred to in subregulation (1) must
be —
(a) a
flag of size 6 of the International Flag Code; or
(b) not
less than 750 mm in length and not less than 600 mm in width.
(3) The master or
person in charge of a vessel from which a person is diving during the hours of
darkness shall cause to be displayed on the vessel, in a vertical line and so
as to be clearly visible to all approaching vessels at all times, 3 all round
lights (having a visibility of not less than 200 m) the highest and
lowest of which must be red and the middle light must be white.
