(1) The chief
executive officer may if so requested by a prisoner in writing permit the
prisoner to remain in the prison overnight until the morning of the day
following the due date of discharge.
(2) If a prisoner is
seriously ill on his discharge date, the chief executive officer may permit
the prisoner to remain in the prison until suitable arrangements are made for
his discharge.
