Western Australian Current Regulations Western Australian Current Regulations The manufacturer or
importer of a substance, mixture or article must, before first supplying it to
a workplace —
(a)
determine whether the substance, mixture or article is a hazardous chemical;
and
(b) if
the substance, mixture or article is a hazardous chemical — ensure
that the hazardous chemical is correctly classified in accordance with
Schedule 9 Division 1.
Penalty:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
