(1) A person
conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must ensure, so far as is
reasonably practicable, that a lead process area at the workplace is kept
clean.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
(2) The person must
ensure that the methods used to clean a lead process area —
(a) do
not create a risk to the health of persons in the immediate vicinity of the
area; and
(b) do
not have the potential to spread the contamination of lead.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
