(1) A person
conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must take all reasonable
steps to ensure that a person does not eat, drink, chew gum, smoke or carry
materials used for smoking in a lead process area at the workplace.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $7 000;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $35 000.
(2) A person
conducting a business or undertaking at a workplace must provide workers with
an eating and drinking area that, so far as is reasonably practicable, cannot
be contaminated with lead from a lead process.
Penalty for this subregulation:
(a) for
an individual, a fine of $4 200;
(b) for
a body corporate, a fine of $21 000.
