LABOUR HIRE LICENSING ACT 2017 - SECT 81
Information notice about forfeiture decision
81 Information notice about forfeiture decision
(1) If an inspector decides under section 80 (1) to forfeit a thing, the
inspector must as soon as practicable give a person who owned the thing
immediately before the forfeiture (the
"former owner" ) an information notice about the decision.
(2) The
information notice may be given by leaving it at the place where the thing was
seized, in a conspicuous position and in a reasonably secure way.
(3) The
information notice must state that the former owner may apply to QCAT for a
stay of the decision if the former owner applies for a review of the decision.
(4) However, subsections (1) to (3) do not apply if the place where the thing
was seized is— (a) a public place; or
(b) a place where the notice is
unlikely to be read by the former owner.
