(1) For the purposes
of section 74EB(b) of the Act, a prescribed interviewer is—
(a) a
police officer or public sector employee, or a police officer or
public sector employee of a class, authorised by the Commissioner or the
Minister by written notice to conduct interviews with vulnerable witnesses; or
(b) a
person, or a person of a class, authorised under a law of the Commonwealth or
of another State or a Territory to conduct interviews with
vulnerable witnesses; or
(c) a
person who has successfully completed a training course in conducting
interviews with vulnerable witnesses—
(i)
approved by the Commissioner; or
(ii)
approved by the Minister.
(2) In this
regulation—
"Minister" means the Minister for Health;
"public sector employee" has the same meaning as in the
Public Sector Act 2009 .
