(1) In this Act:
"agency" means—
(a) an administrative unit; or
(b) a statutory office-holder and the staff assisting the statutory office-holder; or
(c) a territory authority; or
(d) a territory instrumentality; or
(e) a territory-owned corporation or a subsidiary of a territory-owned corporation; or
(f) the Office of the Legislative Assembly; or
(g) an officer of the Assembly; or
(h) the Supreme Court; or
(i) the Magistrates Court or Coroner's Court; or
(j) the ACAT; or
(k) a board of inquiry under the Inquiries Act 1991
; or
(l) a judicial commission under the Judicial Commissions Act 1994
; or
(m) a royal commission under the Royal Commissions Act 1991
; or
(n) an entity prescribed by regulation.
(2) In this section:
"territory authority" means a body established for a public purpose under an Act or statutory instrument but does not include—
(a) the judicial council established under the Judicial Commissions Act 1994
, section 5A; or
(b) the law society established under the Legal Profession Act 2006
, section 576.
"territory instrumentality" means a corporation that is established under an Act or statutory instrument, or under the Corporations Act
, and—
(a) is comprised of people, or has a governing body comprised of people, a majority of whom are appointed by a Minister or an agency or instrumentality of the Territory; or
(b) is subject to control or direction by a Minister.
