Health Legislation Amendment Act 1982 No. 49 of 1982 - SECT 18

18. Section 96 of the Principal Act is amended-

   (a)  by omitting sub-sections (1) and (2) and substituting the following
        sub-section:

''(1) For the purposes of a hearing, a member may, by writing under his hand,
summon a person who is, in relation to that hearing, a relevant person, to
attend the hearing and to produce such documents (if any) as are referred to
in the summons and to appear at the hearing to give evidence for the purpose
only of identifying any such documents.'';

   (b)  by omitting from sub-section (3) ''the practitioner'' and substituting
        ''the relevant person concerned''.
