NATIONAL MEASUREMENT REGULATIONS 1999 1999 No. 110 1999 - REG 59

Application to vary approval of approved patterns
(1)
An approval holder may apply for variation of the pattern approved by an approving authority by lodging:

(a)
a written application with the authority; and

(b)
the certificate of approval of the pattern or a copy of the certificate; and

(c)
detailed drawings and specifications showing the variation.

(2)
The approving authority may, by written notice given to the applicant, require the applicant to lodge with the authority:

(a)
the whole or a part of the pattern of a measuring instrument as proposed to be varied; and

(b)
the whole or a part of the measuring instrument constructed in accordance with the pattern as proposed to be varied; and

(c)
any additional information that the authority needs to consider the application properly.

(3)
The approving authority may refuse to proceed with the application until the applicant complies with the notice.
