1993 No. 282 PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) (OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY) REGULATIONS - REG 2

2. (1) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

"Act" means the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967;

"election" means an election for a health and safety representative or a
deputy health and safety representative under clause 13 or 22 of Schedule 7 to
the Act;

"nomination day" means a day fixed under paragraph 6 (1) (a);

"returning officer" means a person authorised under paragraph 13 (4) (c) of
Schedule 7 to the Act;

"voter" means a person who is eligible to vote in an election under the Act;

"working day", in relation to an election, means a day other than a Saturday,
a Sunday or a public holiday in the place where the workplace to which the
election relates is located.

(2) A reference in these Regulations to a form by number is a reference to the
form so numbered in the Schedule.
