Delegation by chief executive officer
206 Delegation by chief executive officer
(1) The chief executive officer of a local government may delegate the chief
executive officer’s functions under this Act to an appropriately qualified
officer of the local government.
(2) In this section—
"appropriately qualified" means having the qualifications, experience or
standing appropriate to the exercise of the power. Example of standing— the
officer’s classification level in the local government
"functions" includes powers.
