ANIMAL MANAGEMENT (CATS AND DOGS) ACT 2008 - SECT 29

29 Show cause notice

(1) The chief executive must give the implanter a notice under this section (a
"show cause notice" ).

(2) The show cause notice must state—

(a) the proposed action; and

(b) the grounds for the proposed action; and

(c) an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds; and

(d) if the proposed action is suspension—the proposed suspension period; and

(e) that the implanter may, within a stated period (the
"show cause period" ), make written representations to the chief executive why the proposed action should not be taken.

(3) The show cause period must be a period ending at least 21 days after the show cause notice is given to the implanter.
