144 Entry by a local government worker, at reasonable times, to repair etc.
facilities
(1) At all reasonable times, a local government worker may enter a property
(other than a home on the property) without the permission of the occupier of
the property— (a) to investigate the future installation of
local government facilities on, over or under the property; or
(b) to install
local government facilities on, over or under the property; or
(c) to
inspect, maintain, operate, repair, replace or remove
local government facilities, that are on, over or under the property, for
their routine operations.
(2)
"Local government facilities" are facilities that are installed by a
local government (including sewerage pipes, for example).
(3) However, the
local government worker must, as soon as the local government worker enters
the property— (a) inform any occupier of the property— (i) of the reason
for entering the property; and
(ii) that the local government worker is
authorised under this Act to enter the property without the permission of the
occupier; and
(b) produce his or her identity card for the occupier of the
property to inspect.
