(1) Despite anything
to the contrary in a prescribed child protection law, the Chief Executive may
disclose to an interstate officer any information that has come to the
Chief Executive's notice in the performance of duties or exercise of powers
under a prescribed child protection law if the Chief Executive considers that
it is necessary to do so to enable the interstate officer to perform duties or
exercise powers under a child welfare law or an interstate law.
(2) In this
section—
"prescribed child protection law" means—
(a) this
Act;
(b) the
Children's Protection Act 1993 ;
(c) any
other Act prescribed by the regulations for the purposes of this paragraph.
