14D—Person must not give consent unless authorised to do so
A person who is not a person responsible for a particular patient is guilty of
an offence if he or she, knowing that he or she is not a person responsible
for the patient or being recklessly indifferent as to whether or not he or she
is a person responsible for the patient—
(a)
purports to give a consent under this Part in respect of the patient; or
(b)
represents to a medical practitioner that he or she is a person responsible
for the patient.
Maximum penalty: Imprisonment for 2 years.
