Offence to buy, sell or possess relics (other than portable relics) without consent

26A. Offence to buy, sell or possess relics (other than portable relics)
without consent



(1) A person who, whether as principal or agent, without the consent of the
Secretary buys or sells, or at any time has in his possession or under his
control a relic other than a portable relic shall be guilty of an offence
against this Act.

(2) It shall be a defence to any proceedings under sub-section (1) for
possession of a relic, that the defendant had had possession of the relic
before the commencement of this Act.
