This legislation has been repealed.
(1) A person who is
learning to drive a motor vehicle shall not drive it on a road, and the person
in charge of a motor vehicle in which a person is learning to drive shall not
permit or suffer it to be driven on a road, unless there is conspicuously
displayed on the front and the rear of the motor vehicle a plate measuring not
less than 150 mm by 150 mm and bearing a black letter “L” clearly
marked on a yellow background.
(2) A person shall not
drive a motor vehicle displaying a plate bearing a letter “L”
unless he is learning to drive the motor vehicle or unless the person sitting
beside him is learning to drive it.
