emergency officer includes a police officer
assisting in the exercise of an emergency power under section 190(3) or
exercising a power under section 195.
(2) If a person does
not comply with a direction given under this Part, an emergency officer may do
all things that are reasonably necessary to ensure compliance with the
direction, using any force that is reasonable in the circumstances.
(3) An emergency
officer may exercise a power under this Part with the help, and using the
force, that is reasonable in the circumstances.
(4) The powers of an
emergency officer under this Part are in addition to, and do not limit, the
powers the person may have under another written law or other law.
